Italy September 26, 2024

Between 6-9 June 2024, millions of young people across the EU cast their votes in the European Parliament elections, shaping the future for the next five years. With 23 million first-time voters, youth turnout hit an all-time high! 64% of young people showed up at the polls, making it clear that our generation is ready to have its voice heard. ⚡️ While the elections are over, the fight continues. Did you know that only 2 MEPs under 30 were elected? That’s just 0.25% of the entire Parliament. We still need more young representatives to make decisions on issues that matter to us—like climate change, jobs, and education. 🌱 From Austria to Germany, where 16-year-olds could vote, to countries across the EU, young people stepped up. Now, we’re pushing for more youth representation in politics to ensure that our future is shaped by those who understand our needs and dreams. The 2024 elections were just the start. Our generation’s voice is louder than ever, and we’re not stopping. 🌍✊ #EUelections2024 #YouthVote #OurFutureOurVoice #YoungEuropeVotes #ShapingChange #YOUTH2EU
